Introduction

The very first theme developed by ThemeFlood. Minalicious started as a remake of the 'Aqualicious' theme that shipped with early versions of RapidWeaver, but with a much more minimalist design. Over the years, the design of Minalicious has evolved to keep abreast of web design trends. Now up-to it's 9th major revision, the latest version maintains an ultra-clean and minimalist feel; featuring embedded font faces, mobile-first responsive behaviour, subtle colouring and a prominent FreeStyle banner above the page fold. Minalicious is ideally suited for small, simple websites. In the past, Minalicious has been successfully used in websites for artists, photographers, musicians and film makers.

Navigation

Minalicious utilises a split navigation layout. This means that parent page links are always listed at the top of the page and child (subpage) links are shown in the website sidebar. There is purposefully no drop-down menu in this RapidWeaver theme; the emphasis of navigation in Minalicious is on simplicity. Split navigation offers website users a fast and friendly method to navigate pages.

Built with Bootstrap

Like other ThemeFlood themes, Minalicious is built upon the Bootstrap frontend framework. This gives you instant access to a whole array of professional design and functionality components you can reuse in your pages. Compared with many other frontend web development frameworks; Bootstrap is easier to work with, more popular and much lighter in completed pages. We include Bootstrap in themes like Minalicious, to help you save time and money. Make use of the free Bootstrap code snippets pack that accompanies this theme.

FreeStyle banner

Ever wished you could have a freedom of a theme banner that would let you embed any content of any size on any page? FreeStyle is the ultimate theme plugin that gives you a seriously powerful banner solution. Minalicious is one such RapidWeaver theme that incorporates a FreeStyle banner. With simple code snippets you can embed static images (Minalicious includes 5 example static images in the theme content named 1.jpg to 5.jpg). Alternatively you can setup simple sliders or even embed content like video! FreeStyle is all about giving you the freedom of a blank canvas that can be used to create stylish webpage banners that grab attention and scale to any screen size.

Colour pickers

Despite being a free RapidWeaver theme, Minalicious has over thirty colour pickers built-in as standard. These let you effortless customise the colour scheme of just about every element shown in your webpage. Of course, the ability to customise colour schemes lets you design webpages that can be radically different from others.

ExtraContent enabled

Minalicious has support for 10 ExtraContent containers. The purpose of these containers is to let you embed basic content (for example, text, images, links and simple HTML or markdown) into other parts of the page that are normally beyond the editable limits of RapidWeaver. You can use the 'preview ExtraContent containers' option in the theme Miscellaneous setting to see where each of these containers is located. The standard ExtraContent procedure can be followed for embedding content into these different containers.

Sidebar

Four sidebar options are provided in Minalicious. The sidebar is needed by some RapidWeaver page types (like the Blog and RapidFAQ), the split navigation layout and the sidebar can be a useful addition to other pages too; for displaying less important content or useful links. Within the Minalicious sidebar settings, you can float the sidebar either left or right, on screens greater-than 768px wide. Alternatively the sidebar can be displayed as a full-width horizontal block below the main page container. Or you can completely hide the sidebar, if one isn't required. Combined with these four sidebar placement options, the theme also gives you six colour pickers specific to the sidebar.

A small reminder...

Minalicious is generously provided to you as a free RapidWeaver theme. You are welcome to download Minalicious and use it for any personal or commercial projects. All that is politely asked is that any credits remain intact.
