Basic Blue

A very clean, minimalist RapidWeaver theme featuring a vivid, left-aligned header graphic and wide sidebar container. The theme can support 5 different header images. Flash banners can be embedded in the header by pasting your code into the custom header box under the RapidWeaver page inspector. With customisation you can change the header image size and add different headers. Valid XHTML Strict. Valid CSS code. Tested with IE6, IE7, IE8, Safari, Chrome, Opera and Firefox.

Natural World

This is a RapidWeaver theme designed to be big and bold. A vivid green background provides the main focus in this theme with a horizontal navigation bar and content container layered over the top. The theme includes menu alignment, title alignment, sidebar position and content width settings. Other styles and theme colours can be customised extensively by editing the theme code. Natural World uses valid XHTML markup and CSS code and the theme loads surprisingly quickly. It has been tested and confirmed to work with all major web browsers. Although the theme loads fine in IE6, semi-transparent backgrounds are not supported.

Express

Originally designed and developed in 2006, this RapidWeaver theme has recently been updated to make it fully compatible with RapidWeaver 3.6 / 4.0 and a number of third-party plugins. Now released free of charge under the Creative Commons license. Express is built around a simple grid layout with an eye-catching header container and corporate colour schemes. This is the first free RapidWeaver theme to be released with built-in support for a RapidSearch search box. The header also supports the use of Flash animations using Brian Morgan's Flash embed method, or you can add up to 10 of your own custom header images. One Extra Content container included beside the search bar. Tested in IE7, IE8, Safari, Firefox and Opera. The header gradient will not display correctly in IE6 or less. Valid XHTML and CSS code.

Christmas

A perfect theme to give a website a magical festive feeling! Christmas is a basic RapidWeaver theme with a selection of theme widths, link colours and several Christmas light variations including multi-function. This multi-function setting uses Flash (SWF) and fades the Christmas light background between various shades of colour. The main content container is placed on top of a semi-transparent block to aid clarity of text. The theme works will all major desktop web browsers, but in IE6, the semi-transparent content container gets rendered with a solid colour-fill. Christmas supports most third-party RapidWeaver plugins and uses a standard block navigation container within the sidebar.

Green Theme

This theme is based around a simple grid (or block) layout and combines a bold site title presented in the Georgia font face. The rest of the site content included the sidebar sits within green boxes on a green background. Green Theme is quite a fun looking theme, one which is friendly on the eyes and maintains good clarity of text. Uses valid XHTML and CSS code and works very well across all major web browsers. Lots of potential to customise.

Blanco

The first RapidWeaver theme I produced back in 2006. This is probably one of the simplest themes available. Updated for RapidWeaver 4.3 with improved web browser compatibility, plugin compatibility, sidebar settings and width settings. Blanco has a very light and minimalist feel, making it ideally suited to a range of different projects. Because the theme uses no graphics, it loads very quickly. Features a split-navigation layout.

Grid

Based loosely on a classic RapidWeaver theme (Serious Business), Grid makes heavy use of formal lines throughout its design. This is a variable width theme, meaning that the content spans the full 100% width of a browser window. A sidebar forms on the righthand side which hosts a block of navigation links and sidebar content. Includes an option to toggle the sidebar shadow on or off. Fully compatible with all major web browsers and the latest RapidWeaver plugins.

Panoramic

A dark RapidWeaver theme featuring a vivid header container. This header container hosts the site slogan which is presented on a vivid photogenic background. This header container also supports the use embed Flash animations, using Brian Morgan's embed method. The entire theme can be customised using CSS code. Panoramic has a split-navigation layout and is compatible with all recent RapidWeaver plugins and a wide selection of web browsers. An ideal theme for artists and photographers.

Fail Whale

This is a fun, colourful theme which draws inspiration from the older iconic 'Fail Whale' messages displayed when the Twitter service was unavailable. Features a vector-style cloud background and white containers with rounded corners. This theme has a split-navigation layout and includes theme settings for body background, breadcrumb alignment and footer alignment. Compatible with all major web browsers and RapidWeaver plugins. Excellent for small blogs or personal home pages.

Mac Blog

A great Mac-centric styled theme suitable for simple blogs and other types of project. This theme uses a simple table layout with several width settings and an option to customise the body background colour. By default Mac Blog has a wide sidebar floated on the right, coupled with a vivid header graphic and simple block-navigation layout. The header can be customised with your own background images, or you can embed a Flash animation using Brian Morgan's tutorial. Tested for use with all major RapidWeaver plugins and web browsers.

Darkroom

Inspired by the iWeb Darkroom template, this RapidWeaver theme is ideal for creating small portfolio websites and photo albums. The header container can contain up to 10 custom JPG images or a Flash banner using Brian Morgan's embed method. This theme features a split-navigation layout and comes complete with header height, sidebar and width settings. Tested and fully compatible with all major web browsers and popular third-party plugins. Background graphics were created in Pixelmator using the 'noise' filter.

Lux

A beautifully clean and minimalist theme which would be ideally suited to smaller blogs and personal websites. Lux is a light theme, designed to put maximum emphasis on your content. This theme has a fixed with of 950px and supports a single level of navigation in the form of a horizontal menu. Tested and compatible with a wide range of different web browsers and RapidWeaver plugins. Uses valid XHTML and CSS code throughout. Lots of potential to be modified and customised to individual needs.

Poster Lite

This theme was one of the early prototypes used in the development of the Media theme. Featuring a customisable header container and sidebar width settings. Poster Lite is probably the only freeware RapidWeaver theme with support for a CSS drop-down menu which can support two levels of navigation. Uses valid XHTML and CSS code. Compatible with all major web browsers including Internet Explorer 6.
