Support

Whether you are a RapidWeaver newbie dipping your toe in web design for the first time or an expert in charge of commercial projects, find solutions to problems fast. There are a number of excellent support resources available and plenty of people willing to lend a hand.

  1. Premium RapidWeaver themes have a built in user guide. These user guides are also available as links at the bottom of this page which you can print or save for offline viewing. User guides cover all the basics of theme usage and cover available features in detail.

  2. Search the RapidWeaver forums to see if the same or similar issues have been discussed before. There are over 30,000 separate topics and over 140,000 posts. So there's quite strong possibility your question has previously been asked and answered before.

  3. If the problem relates to a third-party plugin, check you are running the latest version and refer to the developers website for help and guidance.

  4. Don't suffer in silence. Burning the midnight oil and staring at the same problem for hours will not fix it. A problem shared is a problem solved, so get in contact using any of the links on the right.

Help Us To Help You

When contacting about a support issue or posting to a forum, it always helps to include as much information as possible. Details of web browser versions, screenshots showing problems or links to published websites are always very useful. The more information you can provide, the quicker and more accurate a reply will be. Unlike other companies, customer support is free and covers themes or add-ons which have been customised. You can forward large files like themes or RapidWeaver projects using free services such as DropBox.

Theme Installation

Downloaded themes can be saved to your Desktop or Downloads folder. Installation can be performed by double-clicking theme icons. After a theme has been installed, RapidWeaver will request to be restarted. Once RapidWeaver has restarted, your new theme will be available for selection in the theme window.

New themes are installed in ~/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/ where '~' is the name of your home directory folder. From here, you can sort them into subcategories if required (RapidWeaver 4.0 and later). Themes can also be duplicated if required, so you can assign a theme to different projects.

When switching a project to a new theme, it is suggested you make a backup copy of the project. Select the new theme from the theme viewer in RapidWeaver. Themes are normally sorted alphabetically.

See this video on the RapidWeaver knowledge base for more information on installing new themes.
